Quality Technician

This role is based at a large packaging manufacturing plant in Devens, MA that produces corrugated boxes and materials. You will be part of the quality team, ensuring products meet standards through inspection and early problem detection.

Responsibilities

• Check products in your assigned area to ensure they meet quality standards.
• Fill out audit paperwork completely and submit it at the end of each shift.
• Perform quality checks and measurements throughout production runs.
• Inspect product samples at the start and end of production runs.
• Confirm setup steps are completed correctly before production begins.
• Identify problems, defects, or risks and report them immediately.
• Notify supervisors right away if something does not meet standards.
• Stop production if necessary to prevent defective products from shipping.
• Ensure any flagged material is properly set aside and handled.
• Assist operators with machine setup and general production tasks as needed.

Requirements

• Understanding of manufacturing quality systems and quality control practices.
• Knowledge of handling non-conforming material and corrective actions.
• Strong observation, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently and maintain objectivity during checks.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in corrugated packaging manufacturing.
• Experience performing quality audits or inspections.

Pay

$18.00–$19.00 per hour.
