Quality Technician

About the Role

This position is at a large packaging manufacturing plant in Devens, MA that produces corrugated boxes and materials. You'll be part of the quality team, ensuring products meet standards through inspections and audits.

Responsibilities

• Check products in your assigned area to ensure they meet quality standards.
• Fill out audit paperwork completely and submit it at the end of each shift.
• Perform quality checks and measurements throughout production runs.
• Check product samples at the start and end of production runs.
• Confirm setup steps are done correctly before production starts.
• Spot problems, defects, or risks and report them immediately.
• Notify supervisors if something doesn’t meet standards.
• Help stop production if needed to prevent defective products from shipping.
• Ensure any flagged material is set aside and handled properly.
• Assist operators with machine setup and general production tasks as needed.

Requirements

• Understanding of manufacturing quality systems and quality control practices.
• Knowledge of how to handle non-conforming material and corrective actions.
• Strong observation, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently and stay objective during checks.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in corrugated packaging manufacturing.
• Experience performing quality audits or inspections.

Pay

$21.26 per hour.

Schedule

2nd Shift (1:00 PM – 9:00 PM).
