Quality Technical Specialist

At Materion, everyone is included, respected and offered opportunity to grow. The Quality Technical Specialist for the Leesburg facility is a key member of the Quality team, requiring strong technical skills and a deep understanding of quality systems.

Responsibilities

• Support continuation and growth of the quality management system, ensuring all parts of the applicable standard, processes, and customer expectations are embedded within site procedures.
• Lead functions such as internal audits, instrument calibration, and corrective actions.
• Lead teams to reduce/resolve customer complaints, customer audit findings, internal rejections, etc., ensuring root cause analysis and corrective/preventative actions are effective.
• Maintain direct customer contact to foster positive relationships and respond quickly to concerns or questions.
• Develop and maintain standard operating procedures related to the quality management system.
• Work with various departments to implement and modify procedures, work instructions, training matrices, and forms as needed.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• 5 years of experience in a quality role in a manufacturing environment.
• Knowledge of manufacturing systems, quality functions, and technical products.
• Experience with ISO 9001 system elements is preferred.
• Experience working directly in a quality department is a plus.
