Hood Container Corporation is seeking a dedicated Quality Technician to join our Corrugator Department team at our Chicago, IL facility. If you have a sharp eye for detail, a commitment to quality, and experience in a manufacturing environment, we want to hear from you!
Responsibilities
- Verify all machine set-ups are accurate and aligned with customer specifications.
- Maintain detailed and accurate records, especially caliper data for key customers.
- Perform general clean-up and assist with machine start-ups.
- Conduct basic troubleshooting and quality checks during production.
- Operate within hot, humid, and high-noise environments while maintaining safety and efficiency.
- Perform tape measure readings and document findings.
- Support a high-volume production area by ensuring products meet quality standards.
- Communicate effectively with team members and follow verbal and written instructions.
- Demonstrate mechanical aptitude and a proactive approach to solving problems.
- Uphold safety protocols and organizational goals at all times.
- Perform other duties as assigned by leadership.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Minimum 6 consecutive months of experience in a manufacturing, industrial, or warehouse setting.
- Corrugator experience is a strong plus.
- Ability to stand for up to 12 hours and lift as needed.
- Comfortable working 12-hour shifts, including weekends, holidays, and overtime.
- Strong attention to detail with solid documentation skills.
- Team-oriented with a strong work ethic and a desire to learn.
- Able to read a tape measure and complete basic measurements accurately.
- Self-motivated, safety-conscious, and reliable.

Pay
$20.00 per hour.
Schedule
