JBS is seeking an hourly Quality Assurance 2nd Shift Team Member.

Responsibilities

• Conduct quality assurance testing on products and raw materials on the plant floor.
• Utilize and/or adapt inspection equipment to meet quality control standards; suggest procedures, standards, and equipment improvements.
• Investigate and determine cause of faulty work and advise production supervisors on corrective measures.
• Ensure sell‑by and production dates are correct on product runs.
• Analyze facts or circumstances surrounding individual problems to determine appropriate action within standard practices.
• Measure and test product, tabulating data concerning materials, product, or process quality and reliability.
• May assume other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Experience in food manufacturing quality control preferred.
• Ability to speak, read, and write English.
• Good verbal and written communication skills.
• Bilingual (Spanish) preferred.
• Good math skills.
• Well‑organized with strong attention to detail.
• Strong work ethic and positive attitude.
• Adaptable, dependable, and able to follow direction and cooperate with others.
• Professional attitude and appearance.
• Ability to apply common‑sense understanding to follow detailed instructions and handle problems with a few variables.

Work Environment

Manufacturing work on the plant floor, involving standing or sitting for long periods, bending, stooping, and lifting. The environment is wet, damp, and cold, with occasional loud background noise.

• Hearing: Must be able to hear average or normal conversations and receive ordinary information, sometimes with loud background noise.
• Repetitive Motion: Frequent use of wrists, hands, and fingers.
• Visual: Average visual acuity needed to inspect documents, products, or operate machinery.
• Physical Strength: Regularly lift/move up to 10 lb, frequently up to 25 lb, and occasionally up to 100 lb.
• Working Conditions: Long hours in a no‑kill food processing environment.
