Quality Supervisor

About the role

This fully on-site position in Wheeling, IL, involves supervising Quality Assurance activities, maintaining ISO 9001:2015 certification, and handling internal and external complaints.

Responsibilities

• Investigate customer complaints to determine root cause and implement corrective action; provide 8D reports to customers.
• Maintain ISO 9001:2015 certification, SOPs, Work Instructions, and Quality records.
• Lead and supervise the quality team, assigning tasks and monitoring performance.
• Collaborate with production, engineering, supply chain, and other departments to address quality-related issues.
• Review new or existing items for feasibility and quality improvement.
• Provide timely reports to management for continuous improvement and cost reduction.

Requirements

• BS in Material Science or Engineering, or equivalent experience.
• ASQ certification desirable.
• Experience with ISO certifications, PPAP, Process FMEA, and Control Plans.
• Familiarity with SAP or other QC-related IT modules.
• Ability to handle frequent changes, delays, or unexpected events.
• Strong communication skills for one-on-one, group, and presentation settings.
• High level of self-discipline and professional ethics.
• Approximately 5% travel required.

Physical Demands

This role operates in both production and office environments, involving periods of sitting, standing, walking, and negotiating stairs, ladders, elevated catwalks, and platforms. The position may require working in hot or cold conditions on slippery surfaces and performing duties under deadline pressure.

Pay

Base salary range: $93,000 – $106,000. Eligible for a variable compensation plan bonus based on company performance.

Schedule

Monday – Friday, 10:00 AM – 7:00 PM.
