As a Quality Supervisor, you will oversee and ensure the quality of our products and processes. You will lead a team of Quality Inspectors and Technicians, enforce quality standards, and drive continuous improvement initiatives. Your role is pivotal in maintaining product excellence and compliance with industry regulations.

The hours for this 3rd Shift role are 10:30 PM - 7:00 AM.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise and mentor a team of Quality Inspectors and Technicians. Provide guidance, training, and performance evaluations to ensure team effectiveness and adherence to quality standards.
  • Develop, implement, and maintain quality assurance policies and procedures. Ensure that products and processes comply with company standards, industry regulations, and customer requirements.
  • Oversee the inspection and testing of raw materials, in-process components, and finished products. Ensure accurate documentation and reporting of inspection results.
  • Identify and analyze quality issues, root causes, and develop corrective and preventive actions. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to address and resolve quality concerns.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance product quality, operational efficiency, and process effectiveness. Implement best practices and industry standards.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date quality records, including inspection reports, non-conformance reports, and corrective action plans. Ensure proper documentation and traceability of quality issues.
  • Ensure compliance with safety, health, and environmental regulations. Stay updated on industry trends, standards, and best practices.
  • Conduct training sessions for employees on quality procedures, standards, and best practices. Promote a quality-focused culture within the organization.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Quality Assurance, Engineering, Manufacturing, or a related field. Relevant certifications (e.g., Six Sigma, ASQ CQE) are a plus.
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in a quality assurance role, with at least 2 years in a supervisory position. Experience in food production is preferred.

  • Proficient in quality management systems (e.g., ISO 9001).
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  • Familiarity with quality inspection tools and software (e.g., statistical analysis software, ERP systems).

Work Environment

  • Exposure to both office settings and food manufacturing facilities.
  • Significant amount of time working at a computer station.
  • Occasional visits to various areas of the manufacturing floor.
  • Must wear required PPE while in all manufacturing areas.
  • Moving parts and machinery are present in the plant.

Physical Demands

  • Frequent sitting, standing, or walking.
  • Occasional ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Ability to perform functions involving repetitive motion, grasping, lifting, pulling, pushing, reaching, crouching, kneeling, stooping, balancing, and climbing.
  • Noise levels vary; higher noise levels exist in plant operations areas.
