Quality Superintendent

PENTA Building Group is seeking dedicated Quality Superintendents to join our team in Los Angeles County and Orange County.

About the role

A PENTA Quality Superintendent supports the project teams with the management and coordination of the quality control process on each assigned project. The ideal candidate for this role must be a flexible self-starter with a strong work ethic that stems from extensive experience across a wide variety of project types.

Responsibilities

• Attend and participate in project start-up meetings.
• Develop and document the Quality Management Plan.
• Review the Quality Buy-Out Checklists for applicable areas with the Project Manager and Superintendent to ensure all scopes are covered and nothing is missing that will impact quality standards.
• Attend meetings with subcontractors and define QA/QC responsibilities.
• Review product specifications and submittals to ensure they have been submitted and approved.
• Conduct field walks and field inspections during construction, make recommendations for correction of deficient workmanship, and coordinate plan for rework with Superintendent.
• Prepare field reports and provide them to the Project Manager, Superintendent, and Project Engineer responsible for the scope.
• Attend a post-construction “turn-over” meeting with the project team at the end of construction.
• Work with the project team to report Lessons Learned, any details that become apparent to be shared for future projects.

Requirements

• 5-7 years of relevant Quality Superintendent experience on commercial construction projects.
• A valid OHSA 30 Card is required.
• Ability to conduct group training and presentations.
• Strong knowledge of computer platforms used for quality applications.
• A positive attitude, flexibility, and eagerness to embrace new technology and tools in the industry.
• The ability to lead and desire to teach and mentor other employees.

Pay

Salary range: $125,000 - $150,000 (DOE). Senior level will be considered based on experience. The PENTA Building Group maintains broad salary ranges for its roles to account for variations in education, training, skills, relevant work experience, business needs, and market demands. The pay range may differ in other locations.
