About the role
The quality and safety team at Sanford Health is seeking two Quality Strategist roles. These positions will focus on compliance with federal quality programs, data validation, and analysis.
Responsibilities
- Evaluate performance and recommend strategies for improvement
- Prepare the organization for future program success
- Maintain knowledge on healthcare quality measurement trends and changes
- Review regulatory changes and prepare for compliance
- Compile and analyze information from various sources
- Decrease risk of human error with data submissions or workflows
- Communicate data in formats appropriate for different audiences
- Identify and prioritize opportunities for improvement
- Lead or facilitate enterprise projects
- Build and maintain relationships with key partners
- Represent Sanford in external vendor, agency, and partner interactions
- Clarify regulatory requirements, coordinate data exchange, submit formal comments, and partner on improvement projects
- Understand the electronic health record and data flow through the system
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree required, Master's degree preferred
- Minimum of five years' experience in operational process improvement, clinical, data analytics, or related field
- Certification in a clinical specialty, quality, process improvement, or data analytics preferred
- If a licensed RN, current unencumbered RN license with the State Board of Nursing and/or multistate licensure in a Nurse Licensure Compact (NLC) state
- Obtain and maintain required department-specific competencies and certifications
Qualifications
- Experience in healthcare

- Prior experience using Epic is a plus
