Quality Staff Engineer

Qualifications

• A bachelor’s degree in engineering or related fields
• A minimum of 10 years of experience in Quality Management
• A minimum of 10 years of experience in manufacturing industry
• Knowledge and understanding of all federal and state safety standards
• Excellent interpersonal skills and effective communication with all levels of employees
• Strong proficiency in using ERP/MES systems and MS Office Suites
• Knowledge of Quality Control techniques, SPC, Lean Manufacturing, Continuous Improvement, 5S and change management techniques
• Proven project management ability with concurrent project assignments
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Assertive, able to cope with pressure, a team player

Physical Requirements

• Able to stand and walk the production area throughout the workday
• Reaching, pushing, pulling, or lifting as required within limits set by Q Cells
• Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer

Preferred Qualifications

• Lean/Six Sigma certification
• Documented supervisory training
• Experience in high tech or solar manufacturing industry and startups
