Quality Specialist Level 1

About the role

A Quality Specialist ensures certification processing, resolves customer order issues, creates shop-floor documentation, and manages scanning and filing of closed orders. This role collaborates with operations, quality, and shipping teams to enhance customer satisfaction through strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and effective communication.

Responsibilities

• Review and process certifications per customer specifications.
• Maintain all applicable specifications and documents required for material processing.
• Maintain the specification library.
• Close out completed jobs.
• Verify certification packages are complete and correct.
• Perform internal audits.
• Review incoming job documentation and report issues to various departments.
• Create job folders and print shop floor documentation.
• Scan closed files into the server and file hard copies.
• Verify customer purchase orders comply with specification requirements.
• Respond to customer requests for corrected certifications or other documentation in a timely manner.
• Maintain positive customer relationships by promoting efficiency and responding to requests.
• Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Fluency in English.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Excel).
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong cross-functional team and organizational skills.
• Detail-oriented with the ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
• Effective communication with internal and external customers, employees, and managers.
• Quality-oriented with a focus on thoroughness and accuracy.
• High level of integrity and discretion in handling sensitive and confidential information.

Preferred Qualifications

• 1+ years of experience in quality within a manufacturing environment.
• 1+ years of experience working with quality certifications.
