The Quality Specialist focuses on writing work instructions and is detail-oriented, analytical, and highly organized, with a natural ability to break down complex tasks into clear, logical steps. Responsibilities
- Develop, update, and maintain work instructions, standard operating procedures (SOPs), and quality documentation for manufacturing processes.
- Review engineering drawings and specifications to ensure documentation aligns with product requirements.
- Participate in Continuous Improvement Projects.
- Process mapping, waste identification, and flow improvement.
- Data collection and analysis for defects, rework, and cycle time.
- Support corrective action implementation.
Requirements
- Experience developing and maintaining Work Instructions, Standard Operating Procedures (SOP's) and Quality Documentation.
- Commitment to maintaining high standards of Quality and Compliance.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Associates Degree in Engineering, Operational Management, or other related field.
- Experience with data analysis and reporting using tools like Excel, Minitab, or similar.
- Background in continuous improvement methodologies such as Lean or Six Sigma.
- ISO 9001 Training.
Qualifications
- Degree in a technical, engineering, or operations related field OR 1-3 years of experience in quality control, quality engineering, or manufacturing.
- Strong technical writing, process documentation, and data analysis skills.
- Excellent problem-solving skills, strong written communication and ability to simplify complex processes.
- Excellent attention to detail, organization, and collaboration skills.
Skills
- Familiarity with measurement tools and statistical process control (SPC).
