About the role
TBMNC’s Quality Department is seeking a Quality Senior Engineer to support the quality control department's objectives.
Responsibilities
- Support the creation and execution of quality hoshin to support the achievement of company KPIs.
- Set strategic direction to ensure in-house processes meet all design/process control specifications.
- Lead a team of engineers/technicians to audit/improve in-house processes.
- Partner with production, maintenance, and engineering teams to strengthen quality systems.
- Complete detailed root causes and lead the implementation of countermeasures for any product that falls outside the normal product distribution.
- Ensure quality management system requirements are being met.
- Collaborate closely with other groups to promote a strong kaizen culture to ensure customer expectations are exceeded.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree or higher in Engineering or a similar technical field or 10+ years of automotive engineering experience.
- Experience of 5+ years in manufacturing quality support for assembly, machining, paint, body weld, or stamping.
- Experience creating and implementing quality processes in a manufacturing environment.
- Experience with detailed schedule creation and utilization for capital projects greater than $250K.
- Experience planning and implementing mass production quality support for production lines greater than 9K capacity per month.
- AutoCAD experience, including the ability to read, interpret, and modify 2D drawings.
- Ability to support weekends, off shifts, and holidays as needed.
- Ability to work the two shutdown times of the year in July and December.
- Ability for business travel, both domestic and international, short and long term.
- Additional bonus if you have Bachelor’s degree or higher in Chemical, Mechanical, Electrical, or Manufacturing Engineering/Technology.
- Production Engineering experience in Assembly, Machining, Paint, Welding, and Stamping.
- Experience and/or exposure to the battery manufacturing process.
- TBP completion through Panel.
- Supplied materials quality control experience.
- Cross-functional work experience (Quality, manufacturing, engineering, maintenance).
- Cross-functional collaboration (UTC, SOAR, etc.).
- 3 Pillar management/execution experience.
