Responsibilities
- Coordinate peer review processes across medical departments, prepare case summaries, and ensure proper case routing.
- Collect, review, and analyze clinical data related to peer review cases.
- Facilitate committee meetings and create reports for executive and board review.
- Collaborate with leadership to develop review indicators.
- Support ongoing professional practice evaluations (OPPE, FPPE).
- Ensure compliance with accreditation standards (TJC, CMS).
- Serve as a content expert for physician orientation and education on quality and peer review principles.
- Assist with credentialing and support nursing peer review.
- Participate in quality improvement projects related to patient safety and clinical outcomes.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in a healthcare-related field (Master’s preferred).
- Current RN licensure in Illinois.
- 5–7 years of clinical experience.
- CPHQ certification preferred.
- Strong knowledge of peer review, quality improvement, compliance standards, and data analysis.
- Excellent communication, facilitation, and educational skills.
