What You'll Do
- Guide and coordinate Quality Technicians on shift, taking primary ownership for their training and ability to maintain conformance to quality procedures.
- Interact with Manufacturing team members to determine shift priorities and allocate labor.
- Drive improvement activities across the shift to increase team knowledge and capability.
- Align with Quality Engineering team to support validation and root cause investigation activities.
- Adhere to strict 5S standards and maintain cleanliness in the work area.
- Observe all safety policies during the execution of required tasks and work with and around hazardous areas and hazardous chemicals and materials.
- Work from schematics, diagrams, layouts, defined plans, and written/verbal instructions.
- Maintain quality performance metrics and drive issues to root cause solutions.
- Audit manufacturing line against released manufacturing processes and procedures.
- Provide coaching and training to Quality Technicians, define goals and performance metrics.
- Conduct bi-weekly 1x1's with each individual technician.
What You'll Bring
- 2+ years of leadership experience with a team of 10 or more employees.
- Understanding of general manufacturing processes, Quality methodologies, and team leadership.
- Reliability, initiative, and desire to learn.
- Adaptability in work schedule (including compressed work week and night shift).
- Confidentiality of sensitive and proprietary information.
- Effective verbal and written communications skills.
- Strong attention to detail, flexibility, and prioritization.
- Command of the English language, both written and verbal.
- Sit, stand, and/or walk for 10+ hours per day and wear all required PPE associated with required tasks.
- Wear air purifying respirator as needed for specific tasks.
- Lift at least 10 -20 lbs. on a regular basis.
- Perform repetitive hand and wrist motions and sometimes may have to twist and bend body.
- Ability to climb ladders/stairs, work in a loud environment.
- Discern audible alarms, distinguish colors, and possess accurate depth perception.
- Strong aptitude with electronic and mechanic test and measurements systems.
- Proficiency in reading and interpreting mechanical drawings and wiring diagrams.
- Applicable documented Training and/or Certifications a plus.
- Use technological tools and business system applications to manage, synthesize, interpret data, and use Microsoft Office software.
- Command of the English language, both written and verbal.
