Responsibilities
- Execute the NIR program—including control charting, documentation, bias evaluation, and equipment maintenance—to ensure strict compliance for internal and external audits.
- Collect data for NIR calibration development and support the validation of rapid analytical methods to optimize manufacturing consistency.
- Troubleshoot issues related to NIR processes and programs while providing analytical lab support to meet shifting business needs.
- Write CAPAs and deviations for out-of-specification finished products and raw materials, leading NIR projects and hold resolutions.
- Implement and monitor SOPs in compliance with CP Standards, and train manufacturing staff on developed methods and instrument utilization.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, Food Science, Environmental Sciences, Biology, or a related scientific field.
- 3+ years of experience in an analytical laboratory within the food, consumer product, or pharmaceutical industry.
- Demonstrated experience with general analytical laboratory practices, instrumentation, and Good Laboratory Practices (GLPs).
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in calibration development using analytical instrumentation software and method development in a laboratory setting.
- Proficiency in NIR operation software (e.g., ISIScan, ISINova, Mosaic) or comparable laboratory software and tools.
- Strong knowledge of Statistics and Statistical Process Control (SPC) tools.
- Proven ability to make decisions under pressure, build cross-functional relationships across Quality and Product Supply, and apply strong problem-solving skills.
Pay & Benefits
Salary Range: $52,800.00 - $80,000.00 USD
Pay is determined based on experience, qualifications, and location. Salaried employees may also be eligible for discretionary bonuses, profit-sharing, and long-term incentives for Executive-level roles.
