This role reports to the Technical Manager.
Responsibilities
- Maintain the Quality System and Quality System Documentation
- Lead Mersen Quality planning activities
- Establish and monitor product non-conformance review and dispositioning system
- Communicate the importance of meeting customer requirements to Mersen staff
- Actively engage and promote Quality with employees and staff
- Provide CONC, RMA, Scrap Analysis, and On-time reports to management as required
- Perform Process Analysis and Continuous Improvement Projects
- Create and interpret statistics and graphical representations
- Perform RMA Evaluations with reports
- Support Production by identifying Work Order corrections
- Assist in Purchase Order requirements for Critical Suppliers
- Maintain NPR documentation and follow-up
- Verify NPRs are correct, detailed, and closed in a timely manner
- Review costing as a measure of scrap and productivity
- Provide improvement recommendations and report deficiencies for Equipment/Process Evaluation
- Ensure QA staffing supports production and inspection needs
- Direct and oversee 1st article documentation and adherence, ensuring supporting documentation is provided (Material Test Results, Elemental Analysis Data, Dimensional Report, Process Confirmation, Ballooned Drawings)
Requirements
- Thorough understanding of ISO 9000:2015 / AS9100 Quality Business Systems
- Associate’s degree or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school, or a combination of education and work experience
- Good understanding of standard PC software
- Experience in gage metrology and calibration
- Good print interpretation skills, including geometric dimensioning and tolerancing
- Trained internal auditor
- Good communication, organizational, management, and team-building skills
