This role reports to the Technical Manager.

Responsibilities

• Maintain the Quality System and Quality System Documentation
• Lead Mersen Quality planning activities
• Establish and monitor product non-conformance review and dispositioning system
• Communicate the importance of meeting customer requirements to Mersen staff
• Actively engage and promote Quality with employees and staff
• Provide CONC, RMA, Scrap Analysis, and On-time reports to management as required
• Perform Process Analysis and Continuous Improvement Projects
• Create and interpret statistics and graphical representations
• Perform RMA Evaluations with reports
• Support Production by identifying Work Order corrections
• Assist in Purchase Order requirements for Critical Suppliers
• Maintain NPR documentation and follow-up
• Verify NPRs are correct, detailed, and closed in a timely manner
• Review costing as a measure of scrap and productivity
• Provide improvement recommendations and report deficiencies for Equipment/Process Evaluation
• Ensure QA staffing supports production and inspection needs
• Direct and oversee 1st article documentation and adherence, ensuring supporting documentation is provided (Material Test Results, Elemental Analysis Data, Dimensional Report, Process Confirmation, Ballooned Drawings)

Requirements

• Thorough understanding of ISO 9000:2015 / AS9100 Quality Business Systems
• Associate’s degree or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school, or a combination of education and work experience
• Good understanding of standard PC software
• Experience in gage metrology and calibration
• Good print interpretation skills, including geometric dimensioning and tolerancing
• Trained internal auditor
• Good communication, organizational, management, and team-building skills
