Quality Manager (REQ853)

About the role

The Quality Manager position at the Crawfordsville - Spartech Team is responsible for overseeing the quality systems and product testing for the Spartech, LLC production facility in Crawfordsville, IN. This role involves managing the Quality lab personnel, coordinating quality audits, ensuring compliance with ISO 9001 standards, and driving continuous improvement through Lean/Six Sigma, FMEA, and 5S tools.

Responsibilities

• Supervise Quality lab personnel
• Manage ISO 9001 systems at the Crawfordsville manufacturing site
• Coordinate Quality audits between the plant and the Corporate innovation center in St Louis
• Oversee manufacturing-related processes to ensure they are in control and products meet customer requirements
• Ensure process conditions are monitored and controlled for product consistency
• Oversee testing in accordance with Spartech Lab Performance Policy and applicable Mil-Specifications
• Represent the plant and Spartech in all professional dealings with customers
• Resolve and communicate on customer complaints and handle technical and quality questions internally and externally
• Coordinate investigations and corrective actions on plant-related customer complaints
• Assess quality training needs and provide training to all site employees

Requirements

• Required Education & Experience: Bachelor's Degree or related experience, minimum 5-7 years quality management experience in a manufacturing environment, minimum 5-7 years managing direct reports, experience working with cross-functional teams, experience with managing QMS & EHS procedures, good computer skills with Microsoft, SAP experience a plus, good problem-solving skills
