Quality Manager - IGT
Responsibilities
- Develop, maintain, and implement quality systems procedures and work instructions in compliance with customer and regulatory requirements.
- Corrective/preventive action leader, advocate, and team player.
- Standardize metrics and best practice.
- Internal and External audit program leader.
- Contract Review leader driving advanced product quality planning process and translation of requirements to operator level.
- Customer advocate (Voice of the customer).
- Process improvement leader focused on Cost of Poor-Quality improvement review, disposition and elimination of material review, concessions, corrective actions, and escapes.

Ensure quality system metrics and key process indicators are maintained and that the results are used to drive continuous improvement.

Job Competence
- Strong experience and proficiency in understanding ISO 9000 and/or AS9100 along with knowledge in Statistical Tools and Techniques, NDE, APQP and Measurement System Analysis.
- Lead cross functional quality and process improvement initiatives utilizing the Alcoa Process Management methodology.
- Ability to build a practical and effective means of driving continuous improvement and compliance responsibilities to the process activities where work is being done.
- Assure compliance with all applicable standards, business practices and documented procedures (including AS9100, ISO 9000, Nadcap special process disciplines) through an efficient and effective internal audit, corrective, and preventative action management system.
- Work with all functions to ensure effective communication, corrective / preventative action and process improvement activities are coordinated.
- Ensure best practices and process improvements are communicated and consistently applied as appropriate.
- Track a cohesive set of key performance metrics that provide the team with actionable information to drive improvement in the process, focusing on the overall performance of the quality management system.
Qualifications
- Requires a Bachelor's degree in engineering, business or finance from an accredited institution
- 7 minimum years leading a quality department or team
- 10 minimum years working in a manufacturing environment
- 5 minimum years auditing experience working in an ISO 9001 / AS9100 (per AS9014) environment
Basic Qualifications:
- Pass a vision exam utilizing the Tumbling E Chart
- Pass an ISO 18490 Employee background check
Preferred Qualifications:
- Master’s degree from an accredited institution
- Manager of Quality / Organizational Excellence (CMQ/OE) or Quality Engineer (CQE) designation from ASQ or other recognized quality authorities preferred
- General Auditor (Internal) – Four (4) audits (total twenty (20) audit days) within the past three (3) years, Aerospace Auditor (Third Party) – Four (4) years of aerospace industry experience within the past ten (10) years OR RAB Lead Auditor certification a plus
