Duties & Responsibilities

  • Serve as the site leader and subject matter expert for Lean Six Sigma and continuous improvement methodologies.
  • Lead and mentor Green Belt–level projects and support Black Belt–level initiatives focused on process optimization and waste reduction.
  • Identify, prioritize, and execute continuous improvement projects that deliver measurable business results.
  • Facilitate Kaizen events, value stream mapping, root cause analyses, and problem-solving workshops.
  • Track, report, and sustain CI project results using KPIs and performance dashboards.

Quality Management & Governance

  • Own and continuously improve the Quality Management System (QMS) to ensure product consistency, compliance, and performance.
  • Lead the QC Inspector team to ensure adherence to specifications and quality standards.
  • Oversee the Quality Lab through the Lab Supervisor; support product qualifications, testing protocols, and trial validations.
  • Investigate customer complaints and internal nonconformances using structured root cause methodologies (e.g., DMAIC, A3).
  • Implement and verify corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).

Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Partner with Production, Engineering, and Supply Chain to improve process capability, reduce variability, and enhance throughput.
  • Support new product trials, process changes, and continuous improvement initiatives tied to strategic objectives.
  • Participate in customer visits, audits, and technical quality reviews.
  • Evaluate supplier performance and provide input on material quality and process improvement opportunities.

Culture & Capability Building

  • Train and coach team members in Lean, Six Sigma, and problem-solving tools.
  • Promote a culture of continuous improvement, accountability, and data-driven decision-making.
  • Develop standard work, control plans, and visual management systems to sustain gains.
  • Perform other duties as assigned to support operational excellence and quality initiatives.

Education & Experience

Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Operations, Quality, or a related technical field required.

Lean Six Sigma Green Belt or Black Belt certification required (Black Belt strongly preferred).

Minimum of 7+ years of experience in manufacturing, quality, and/or continuous improvement leadership roles.

Experience in food packaging or regulated manufacturing environments preferred.

Required Skills & Abilities

  • Proven expertise in Lean Six Sigma, DMAIC, Kaizen, and root cause analysis.
  • Strong ability to lead and influence cross-functional teams without direct authority.
  • Demonstrated success driving measurable operational improvements.
  • Advanced problem-solving, analytical, and data interpretation skills.
  • Effective project management and organizational skills.
  • Strong communication skills at all organizational levels.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and quality/CI tools (SPC, dashboards, documentation systems).
