Quality Manager
About the role
The Quality Manager is a key member of the Skanska team, providing technical, administrative, and field support to ensure high-quality construction outcomes. Skanska is dedicated to building for a better society through diverse and inclusive practices.
Responsibilities
- Support senior Field and Project Managers with Quality Control tasks including material identification, field inspections, and reporting on construction quality.
- Lead Quality-related meetings with internal staff and trade partners to discuss and resolve issues.
- Perform routine daily activities focusing on materials identification, field inspections, and reporting on construction quality.
- Oversee inspections and assist in the development and tracking of various project needs such as RFIs, submittals, document control, project reporting, and close-out activities.
- Ensure compliance with technical specifications and construction plans, and communicate findings to relevant stakeholders.
- Participate in risk management initiatives to mitigate construction errors and improve overall project quality.
Requirements
- 5+ Years of experience working within a project team contributing to coordination, development, and/or tracking of various project needs.
- 5+ Years of experience reading and understanding construction plans and drawings and the technical specifications associated with drawings.
- 5+ Years of experience in the construction of Commercial building projects (internship experience may be acceptable on a case-by-case basis).
- 2+ years practical experience performing inspections for a general contractor, trade contractor, design firm, jurisdictional body, or inspections firm.
- Bachelor’s Degree – Construction Management, Engineering, or similar; or 8 years equivalent experience and a minimum of 4 years prior relevant experience.

- Ability to lead and facilitate Quality-related meetings.
- Knowledge of industry standards and best practices in construction quality assurance.

Salary Range: USD $108,500.00/Yr. - USD $135,600.00/Yr.
