About the Role

As the key leader of the Prince Industries Quality Team, this hands-on manager will report to the General Manager and play a critical role in supporting customers and the production facility. The Quality Manager is responsible for maintaining the quality management system (ISO 9001:2015, AS9100) compliance and overseeing all company-wide quality policies, procedures, processes, programs, and practices to ensure continuous conformance with appropriate standards and regulations.

  • Acting as a key contact with customers' auditors and ensuring the execution of corrective actions and ongoing compliance with customers' specifications
  • Providing frequent quality reports on the state of quality (internal/external)
  • Acting as the voice of the customer within the organization regarding quality concerns and product performance
  • Building strong relationships with key customers and ensuring timely resolution of customer complaints and quality issues
  • Maintaining awareness of the business context and company profitability
  • Ensuring compliance with national and international standards
  • Driving the formulation and agreement of comprehensive quality procedures across different disciplines
  • Supervising technical staff in inspection activities, document creation, quality engineering, metrological process design, and calibration
  • Ensuring procedures are properly understood, carried out, and evaluated
  • Writing technical and management system reports as required
  • Supporting the internal auditing system and procedures
  • Pinpointing relevant quality-related training needs
  • Working closely with purchasing staff to establish and monitor supplier quality performance criteria
  • Assessing suppliers' product specifications and quality plans
  • Liaising with other managers and staff, particularly in design, production, and purchasing, to provide clarity within the quality system
  • Utilizing business system tools and analytics to ensure adequate resources for growth and capacity requirements

Requirements

  • 4-year BS in Mechanical Engineering or related degree with relevant experience
  • 5-10 years' experience in a quality function/role
  • 3+ years' experience managing a quality organization
  • Experience with a manufacturing organization, specifically precision metal machining
  • Experience implementing/maintaining AS9100, NADCAP quality system or equivalent
  • Experience in a related manufacturing work environment
  • Experience leading a staff of 6 or more

Skills

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Solid knowledge of GD&T
  • Gauge calibration experience
  • CMM programming/operating experience
  • Working knowledge of machine shop metrology
  • Excellent at reading drawings/blueprints
  • Experience in all required quality engineering phases
  • Experience leading teams in PPAP, APQP, and FMEA
  • Epicor knowledge
  • 6 Sigma green belt or black belt (a plus)
  • ASQ Certification (a plus, e.g., SQE, SQA)
  • AS9100, NADCAP knowledge and understanding

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to stand, walk, and use hands for extended periods
  • Exposure to moving mechanical parts, airborne particles, and moderate noise levels
  • Must be able to communicate clearly and accurately in noisy environments
  • Must be able to read, write, and speak English

Pay

$110,000 - $120,000 annually (final compensation will be determined based on experience).

Due to ITAR regulations, only U.S. persons—defined as U.S. citizens, lawful permanent residents (Green Card holders), and U.S. nationals—are eligible for this position.
