About the role
Responsible for investigation and resolution of all nonconformances within the organization including, customer complaints, supplier issues, and internal processes. Responsibility also includes producing and distributing key quality measurements, training quality technicians, and maintaining the ISO Quality Management System.
Responsibilities
- Conduct, behavior and actions in accordance with Converted Products core values of Caring, Creativity, Determination, Dependability and Teamwork
- Act as a champion for change within the department and across Converted Products
- Drive continuous improvement in all aspects of the accountability areas below
- Ensure direct reports are properly utilizing systems, technology, and policies and procedures prescribed by Converted Products
- Provide training or corrective action to ensure these obligations are met
- Exhibit executive level decision-making, cross-functional teamwork, problem solving, and policy development
- Adhere to Converted Products mission, values, standards, policies and procedures
- Proactively ensure personal awareness of policies before acting
- Develop direct reports and department members and hold them accountable to Converted Products standards
- Provide meaningful interaction, coaching, and feedback to team members on a routine basis
- Initiate corrective action and recommend employment actions, in conjunction with functional leadership and HR when situations warrant
- Suggest best practices
- Direct weekly progress meetings
- Participate in quarterly strategy meetings
- Pursue personal and professional development
- Raise any issues or concerns that arise during day-to-day work to functional leadership
Quality Design and Implementation
- Develop quality program for supplier audits
- Conduct root cause analysis
- Maintain quality system
- Problem solve and prescribe solutions
- Troubleshoot
- Manage preventative actions
- Conduct proactive risk assessment
- Education CONVERTED PRODUCTSS team on information as needed
- Design and conduct quality training
- Design and conduct quality orientation program
Quality Maintenance
- Audit manufacturing processes on all shifts (Receiving, Production, Shipping)
- Oversee ISO program
- Interact with ISO Auditor (external)
- Conduct walk-throughs with customers and customer auditors
- Prepare customer PPAPs and Control Plans
- Manage all regulatory documents
- Manage Certificates of Analysis
Talent Management
- Coach and mentor team
- Manage and develop team
- Hold direct reports accountable
- Model behaviors that reflect the Converted Products core values and Valued Colleague Pledge
- Conduct semi-annual performance reviews
- Support
- Collaborate with Business Development, Production Management, Plant Management
- Contribute to product specifications
- Communicate solutions to customers
- Keep Director of Sales updated
- Visit customer sites as needed
- Manage corrective actions
