Aircraft Technology, Inc. (ATI), a subsidiary of HEICO Corporation, is an FAA/EASA Part 145 Repair Station supporting a wide range of rotary and fixed-wing components on commercial and military platforms worldwide.

About the role

The Quality Manager (QM) will operate in a fast-paced, deadline-driven FAA 145 environment, managing multiple complex tasks simultaneously while working effectively both independently and as part of a team. The role requires adaptability to evolving project needs and a strong grasp of technology to support maintenance operations.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee the company’s Quality Assurance/Control functions, including incoming, in-process, NDT, and final inspection activities.
  • Collaborate with Engineering and Production on new repair capabilities.
  • Provide detailed quality reports to the General Manager for monitoring progress, budgets, staffing, and efficiency.
  • Maintain a high sense of urgency to meet schedule requirements.
  • Ensure technical data currency and compliance with FAA regulations and manual procedures.
  • Represent the company during customer visits, audits, and meetings.
  • Monitor and ensure all Quality Control metrics are met.
  • Implement systems to minimize downtime by reducing production rework and recalls.
  • Interpret and apply Service Bulletins, service letters, and Airworthiness Directives approved by the FAA or industry standards.
  • Communicate quality assurance philosophy to key personnel.
  • Establish inspection procedures for receipt, in-process, and final acceptance activities.
  • Document and review Quality inspection results, corrective actions, and preventive measures.
  • Approve Quality efficiency and time allocations.
  • Organize and prioritize work activities to align with production schedules.
  • Recommend tools and equipment to support business operations.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Write, update, and maintain Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for the Quality Assurance Program.
  • Manage the outside vendor program and inspector activities.
  • Maintain and enforce Quality Control system processes.
  • Define test standards, specify test equipment, and establish calibration procedures for instrumentation.
  • Participate in design review meetings to contribute quality assurance requirements.
  • Supervise and train the quality control team to ensure expertise and productivity.
  • Communicate significant quality issues or developments to the management team.
  • Coordinate inspection and acceptance activities with Customer Service.
  • Review Quality requirements with customer representatives to ensure compliance.
  • Maintain knowledge of government and industry quality standards.
  • Review contractually required documentation for accuracy and completeness.
  • Perform data gathering and analysis for product support assignments.
  • Oversee warranties, customer complaints, and airworthiness determinations on behalf of the company.
  • Audit technical and managerial processes for compliance.
  • Manage the scrap program and safety initiatives.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with customers, stakeholders, suppliers, and team members.
  • Lead, develop, and motivate employees while providing education on the Quality System.
  • Manage daily activities of the QC Supervisor.
  • Perform additional duties as required.
