Job Description We are seeking a Quality Manager to oversee quality operations within a precision manufacturing environment. This role combines leadership responsibilities with direct involvement in quality activities, supporting quality systems, regulatory compliance, inspection operations, and continuous improvement initiatives. The Quality Manager will lead quality personnel, support inspection and measurement activities, maintain quality management systems, and collaborate with manufacturing, engineering, and leadership teams to ensure product quality and operational excellence. Responsibilities Maintain and improve the quality management system to support product quality and compliance requirements.Lead implementation, maintenance, and continuous improvement of AS9100, ISO 9001, and related quality system processes.Provide leadership, coaching, and direction to quality personnel.Perform and support inspection and measurement activities using precision measurement equipment.Collaborate with production teams to address quality concerns and improve manufacturing processes.Lead root cause investigations and corrective action activities utilizing quality methodologies such as 8D, 5 Why, and FMEA.Monitor and analyze quality performance metrics and implement improvement initiatives.Manage calibration programs for inspection and measurement equipment.Plan, support, and participate in internal and external quality audits.Develop and maintain quality documentation, procedures, work instructions, and records.Partner with engineering, manufacturing, and leadership teams to achieve quality objectives.Communicate quality findings, risks, and improvement opportunities throughout the organization.Support a culture of quality, accountability, and continuous improvement. Required Qualifications Demonstrated experience leading quality functions within manufacturing environments.Experience supporting quality systems within aerospace, medical device, precision manufacturing, or other regulated industries.Experience leading and developing quality personnel in a production environment.Experience implementing, maintaining, and improving AS9100 and ISO 9001 quality management systems.Proficiency using precision measurement equipment, including calipers, gauges, and related inspection tools.Experience performing root cause analysis and corrective action activities utilizing methodologies such as 8D, 5 Why, and FMEA.Experience supporting high-precision manufacturing environments.Knowledge of quality assurance principles, process controls, and continuous improvement practices.Experience managing calibration systems and inspection equipment.Experience planning, conducting, and supporting quality audits.Strong written and verbal communication skills.Strong documentation and report-writing capabilities. Preferred Qualifications Experience working within a manufacturing environment that combines leadership responsibilities with direct quality execution.Experience collaborating closely with manufacturing, engineering, and operations teams.Demonstrated ability to improve quality performance through practical problem-solving and process improvements.Experience supporting continuous improvement initiatives.Ability to operate effectively within a fast-paced manufacturing environment.Experience balancing quality requirements with production objectives. Work Environment This position operates within a precision manufacturing environment supporting complex, high-quality components. The role involves regular interaction with quality personnel, manufacturing teams, engineering groups, and organizational leadership. Responsibilities include a combination of quality leadership, inspection oversight, audit support, process improvement, and quality system management activities.
