Quality Manager - ADL

About the role

The Aluminum Dynamics Position develops, implements, and coordinates the quality assurance program to prevent or eliminate defects in new or existing products.

Responsibilities

• Lead plant audits with the cross‑functional team to ensure ISO 9001 compliance
• Work with management to educate and resolve non‑conformances
• Support Lean initiatives to encourage standard operating procedures, eliminate the 7 areas of waste, drive process improvements, and investigate new technology
• Analyze, evaluate, and present information on business situations, manufacturing problems, and design and development of new products
• Investigate customer complaints and facilitate root cause analysis in the plant and at customer locations
• Manage employees assigned to the area of responsibility
• Assure program elements are established, implemented, and effectively maintained in compliance with ISO 9001‑2015
• Cooperate with top management to formulate and establish company policies, operating procedures, and goals

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or a technical field
• 3 years of experience in quality management
• Strong working knowledge of ISO‑9000

Qualifications (Preferred)

• 3 years of secondary aluminum knowledge
• Experience with QS‑9000 and ISO‑14001
• Knowledge of Optical Emission Spectroscopy
