Quality Management Systems Specialist

About the Role

Support the Quality Management System (QMS), its policies, and programs at Quaker Houghton locations. Coordinate and support ISO 9001 and other QMS initiatives, including external audit registrars and management review meetings.

Responsibilities

• Assist in developing and writing QMS documents (Standard Operating Procedures, Quality Manuals, Work Instructions).
• Manage the document control program, including reviewing and monitoring controlled documents (SOPs, Specifications, Methods, Protocols, Training Materials, etc.).
• Conduct Quality Assurance orientation and training programs for new hires and associates.
• Coordinate Quaker Houghton’s QMS Internal Audit process:
  • Develop the annual internal audit schedule.
  • Schedule audits with internal auditors, site management, and representatives.
  • Conduct internal audits, write audit reports, and review findings with sites.
  • Recommend corrective actions for audit non-conformances.
• Lead internal and external audits of quality elements.
• Administer the Corrective and Preventive Action (CAPA) process:
  • Enter non-conformances into the CAPA system.
  • Issue and document Corrective Actions (CARs) from customer complaints, audit findings, and process non-conformances.
  • Report on CAR status and follow up on outstanding actions.
• Generate quality system reports and assist process owners in developing metrics, root cause analysis, and corrective actions.
• Cooperate with other departments to build a Quality Culture within Quaker Houghton.
• Handle non-routine situations for review by senior staff.
• Deliver training for complex, non-routine, or small-group sessions.
• Participate in and guide the development and instructional design of training materials.
• Support Management of Change review and approval processes.
• Assist in developing user requirement specifications and conduct risk assessments.
• Participate in oversight of Internal Audit and Supplier Quality Programs with guidance from management.
• Provide input for customer presentations to justify proposed projects and demonstrate benefits of completed proposals.
