Essential Duties And Responsibilities
- Oversight of the Quality Management System implementation throughout the company.
- Maintenance of the Quality Manual and Quality Procedures.
- Analysis of procedural needs for MTEA.
- Organization and management of the plant internal audit system and corrective action reporting system.
- Planning and completion of IATF16949 audits, maintenance of audit documentation, and assistance in training other auditors.
- Hosting external QMS audits as an interface with third-party auditing companies.
- Maintenance of Standard Operating Procedure content and coordination of document issuance (with Quality Administrator).
- Supporting all departments to ensure compliance with QMS requirements.
- Management of document initiation and change requests.
- Aid in training for quality awareness.
- Supporting reporting of Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) including summaries of Management Review Meetings and actions requested by Top Management.
- Assisting with customer audits.
- Undertaking training for personal and professional development.
- Performing work outside of regular hours as necessary.
Job Requirements
- High school diploma or GED preferred.
- 3+ years of automotive manufacturing experience, preferably 1+ year of quality-related experience.
- IATF16949 Lead Auditor Certification.
- Basic computer skills including Microsoft Office products.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (written and verbal).
- Quality orientation as a critical thinker with a high sense of urgency and attention to detail.
- Ability to build commitment with individuals and a team atmosphere across departments.
- Competence in problem solving, team building, planning, and decision making.
- Demonstrated understanding of root cause analysis, continuous improvement (kaizen), and auditing.
- Basic understanding of quality tools to improve processes.
- Working experience with FMEA, VDA/FMEA & Control Plan.
- Ability to understand manufacturing processes, prints, and other technical information.
