Quality Management Director
About the role
The Quality Management Director is responsible for leading the Quality Management Department to ensure compliance with quality assurance and improvement, quality measurement, regulatory readiness, risk mitigation, infection prevention, clinical informatics, clinical education, and medical staff peer review.
Responsibilities
- Provides leadership and oversight for Quality Improvement Projects, Committees and Monitoring
- Functions include: Infection Prevention & Employee Health, Liability Insurance Programs, Safety / Risk Mitigation, Medical Staff Services and Committee Support, Education & Quality, Regulatory Compliance and Survey Readiness, Care Management and Utilization Review
- Guides the organization and communicates changes as needed in the following areas: Regulatory Compliance and Survey Readiness, Quality Improvement, Employee Health, Clinical Education, Safety/Risk Mitigation, Infection Prevention, Event Reporting and customer relations/ patient complaints
- Works closely with Medical Staff in medical chart review and peer review processes
- Chairs meetings and leads teams, including the Quality Council meeting
- Manages the business of the department including budgets, staff and supporting resources
Requirements
- Desired Education: BS in Nursing or related Health Related Field, relevant Master’s Degree also an advantage
- Desired Experience: 3-5 years acute care quality and or risk management experience, recent hospital experience including use of Electronic Health Record; data management, 1-3 years supervisory, consulting, and or leadership experience
- Desired License and Certification: Registered Nurse with Vermont License in good standing
- Desired Skills: Performance improvement methods and tools, group facilitation, project management, proficiency in Microsoft Office: Word, Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, investigation, statistical and analytic methods, interpretation and analysis of data, excellent communication skills including establishing and maintaining collaborative Medical Staff and Department Leader relationships, demonstrated effective listening skills and role modeling confidentiality, familiarity with Joint Commission standards and ability to monitor Patient Safety Goals
Qualifications

Benefits

Pay
$105,000-115,000/year. The posted salary range reflects compensation for candidates with limited experience. An offer may vary based on factors such as experience, education, skills, internal equity, and market data. An offer of employment may be outside of the posted range based on those factors.
