About the role
Körber Technologies, Inc., a leading Sales and Service company supporting the North American tobacco industry, is currently seeking a Quality & Lean Lead to join our team. As a key member of the Operations team, the Lead - Quality & Lean steers all quality-related functions at our manufacturing site in Richmond.
Responsibilities
- Ensure best-in-class customer satisfaction regarding product quality, delivery performance, and collaboration with internal and external stakeholders
- Review, validate, and approve final product quality as well as required certifications
- Lead global problem-solving activities in close collaboration with international partners
- Establish, execute, and continuously improve quality inspections, quality loops, and preventive quality processes across the international production network
- Drive, maintain, and continuously improve the Quality Management System (QMS) and Integrated Management System (IMS) in coordination with global sites
- Ensure compliance with applicable local and international regulations, ISO standards (e.g., ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO 45001), and customer-specific requirements, including oversight of audits and inspections
- Promote operational excellence by applying Lean principles, driving continuous improvement initiatives, reducing waste, and monitoring key performance indicators related to quality and efficiency
- Lead, coach, and develop the team while fostering a culture of customer orientation, ownership, collaboration, innovation, and continuous learning, including support of cross-functional and global quality projects
Requirements
- You have a Bachelor’s / Master’s or MBA degree in Engineering, Quality Management, or related field with excellent results
- Minimum 5 years of experience in quality operations and leadership roles within manufacturing, preferably in an international setting
- Strong knowledge of Quality Operations, QMS, IMS, Lean, Six Sigma and regulatory compliance
- Good knowledge of SAP, as well as MS Office tools
- Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills in a multinational environment; Trust is key
- Fluent in English; German language would be an advantage
