Quality Lead Auditor

Responsibilities

• Provides backup for supplier and quality technical oversight for government furnished material.
• Reviews material certifications to ensure testing and metallurgical properties are within specification.
• Oversees receipt inspection, material over-inspection, and production processes.
• Solves technical problems as required.
• Maintains material traceability database.
• Performs reviews of contract modifications and provides cost estimates for bid and proposal work.
• Develops, maintains, and complies with Operating Procedures, Quality Work instructions, and unit specific user instructions.
• Provides Internal and external audits at supplier and other NOG sites.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Must possess at least eight (8) years of relevant experience or four (4) years of experience with an AS or higher degree.
• Proven ability in using Microsoft Office Suite.
• Superior written, oral, and interpersonal communication skills.
• Demonstrable time management skills.
• Highly self-motivated and directed, with keen attention to detail.
• Prior proven analytical and creative problem-solving abilities.
• Must be a U.S. citizen.
• Must be able to obtain and maintain a U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) clearance.

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous six sigma/Lean experience.
• NQA-1 or ISO certifications.

Pay

$65,000 - $103,000 The base salary range for this position in Virginia (US-VA) at the start of employment is expected to be between $65,000 and $103,000 per year. However, the base salary offered is based on local job market factors, and may vary further depending on factors specific to the selected job candidate, such as job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and other objective business considerations.

Details of Participation

The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements, such as an annual cash incentive in addition to a full range of medical, retirement, and/or other benefits. Details of participation in these benefit plans will be provided at such time the selected job candidate receives an offer of employment.
