About the role
We are seeking a Quality Lab Tester to join our manufacturing team in Dallas. This role is critical in ensuring our products meet the highest quality standards through rigorous testing and analysis.
Responsibilities
- Perform routine and non-routine quality tests on raw materials, in-process samples, and finished products using established procedures and equipment.
- Record, analyze, and report test results accurately and promptly; escalate any deviations or anomalies to the Quality Supervisor.
- Maintain laboratory equipment, ensuring calibration, cleanliness, and proper functioning; troubleshoot minor issues as needed.
- Assist in the development and validation of new test methods or improvements to existing procedures.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives by identifying trends, suggesting process enhancements, and participating in problem-solving teams.
- Adhere to safety protocols, including proper handling and disposal of hazardous materials, and maintain a clean, organized work environment.
- Collaborate with production, engineering, and quality teams to resolve quality issues and implement corrective actions.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent; Associate’s degree in a technical field (e.g., chemistry, materials science, engineering) or relevant certification is a plus.
- Minimum of 1 year of experience in a quality control or laboratory testing environment, preferably in manufacturing.
- Proficiency in using laboratory equipment (e.g., spectrophotometers, viscometers, tensile testers) and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow standardized procedures with precision.
- Basic understanding of statistical process control (SPC) and quality management systems (e.g., ISO 9001).
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs, stand for extended periods, and work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
- Effective communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to document and present findings clearly.
