About the role
The Quality Inspector will perform final and in-process quality inspections as required to support manufacturing operations to ensure product conformance to specification. Perform containment activities for Quality issues identified internally and through warranty claims including sorting activities, final inspection, in-process inspection, and process verification. Drive corrective and preventive action to eliminate/minimize the Quality issues identified during inspections.
Responsibilities
- Perform final and in-process inspections across multiple product lines as appropriate to ensure Quality products to customers
- Perform containment actions for Quality issues including the inspection of suspect product and validation of processes that may be responsible for suspect product
- Support Quality Engineering to drive actions that continually improve CONC, Warranty PPM, Final Yield, Rolled Throughput Yield, and Supplier PPM
- Assist in the resolution of NCMR's and corresponding problem solving as needed
- Collect and input Quality data into databases and other software as appropriate for reporting and data analysis including, but not limited to, MS Excel, Word, Power point, Outlook, Test Data Management System (TDM), Customer Quality Management System (CQM), and MQ1
- Monitor and enforce Quality procedures established per the ISO 9001 requirements
- Interact with front end engineering team to resolve quality defects and solve complex problems regarding product specifications
Required Qualifications
- 2-year associate degree or 1 year of manufacturing experience
- Basic computer skills including email communication and computer navigation

Preferred Qualifications
- Working knowledge of multiple product lines or multiple work centers within a product line throughout the plant
- Previous experience with AS400
- Working knowledge of ENOVIA/Plant Order Manager
- Working knowledge of engineering drawings and engineering job packet
- Demonstrated knowledge of industrial electrical assemblies and application
- Proven history of computer usage for work related tasks
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to resolve problems
- Effective communication skills within a team and to key stakeholders
Position Criteria
- Able to lift 30 pounds – waist, shoulder, overhead
- Able to use small ladders
- Proven history of safe work habits
- Must be able to work effectively without direct supervision
- Computer skills – Microsoft Office, Internet, etc.
- Communications Skills – written and oral
- Must be able to work overtime – weekdays and weekends
- Ability to be on-call as required – must be able to flex shifts to support business and team needs (up to 10%)
Pay
$23.00 per hour
Schedule
Weekend shift, 7am-7:30pm
