Quality Inspector Lead-W10

Shift: Monday - Friday, 7:00 AM - 3:30 PM. Pay starting at $27 per hour.

About the Role

The Quality and Compliance Lead will oversee the activity of the quality department and staff, developing, implementing, and maintaining a system of quality and reliability testing for the organization's products and/or development processes. The intent of the role is to identify gaps in compliance to standards to promote maximum warehouse efficiencies and eliminate inbound defects from customers. This role is critical in team development, training, and ensuring consistency. The Quality and Compliance Lead will be an integral part of the company's overall quality objectives.

Responsibilities

• Train and develop new Quality Inspectors.
• Ensure consistency of hourly Quality Inspector performance.
• Provide hourly employees with the resources needed to perform job functions.
• Provide candid feedback on day-to-day Quality Inspector performance and input on yearly evaluations.
• Perform Inbound Customer Inspections to validate the quality of cases, pallets, and loads inbound to RJW.
• Develop and execute departmental cross-training strategies.
• Drive awareness, education, and adherence to Retailer's standards.
• Implement improved processes and conduct special projects as guided by direct leadership.
• Lead and develop a team, demonstrating respect, motivation, and goal accomplishment.
• Ensure compliance with inventory processes, procedures, and contractual obligations.
• Physically count and validate inventory.
• Utilize computer terminals/scan guns accurately to document identified defects.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED equivalency.
• Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
• Ability to communicate, read, write, and speak English proficiently.
• Proficiency in both oral and written routine reports and correspondence.
• Ability to physically count and validate inventory.
• Forklift certification is a plus.

Skills

• Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
• Preferred: Knowledge and proficiency with RJW WMS.

Physical Demands

• Regularly required to talk or hear.
• Frequently required to stand, walk, use hands to finger, handle or feel, and reach with hands and arms.
• Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.
