Essential Duties & Key Responsibilities

  • Mold, inspect, and package products according to written processes.
  • Utilize microscope, magnifiers, and small tools to complete work instructions.
  • Meet or exceed daily production standards.
  • Perform in-process quality inspections to established standards, promptly identify, and escalate quality issues.
  • Comply with all policies, work instructions, procedures, ISO9001, and AS9100 requirements.
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment.
  • Cross-train across multiple operations within the quality department.
  • Prepare and submit Fai and FAIR packages to customers.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Skills & Competencies

  • Make product judgments based on procedures and drawings.
  • Operate automated inspection equipment.
  • Utilize variable and attribute measuring equipment to determine product acceptance.
  • Work independently and in a team setting.
  • Understand manufacturing practices.
  • Have basic understanding of geometric dimensioning, tolerancing, and blueprint interpretation.
  • Communicate effectively with internal and external customers.
  • Read and comprehend blueprints and schematics.
  • Be computer literate with knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Perform basic computations.
  • Have knowledge of AS9100D with ISO 9001: 2015 preferred.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Required EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE

  • A High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Good hand-eye coordination, attention to detail, effective communication skills, and ability to complete Assembler Quality System Training.
  • Three (3) years of work experience in quality.
  • Desired trade or vocational school within manufacturing industry.

Physical Demands

  • Frequent standing and hearing.
  • Frequent walking, reaching with hands/arms, lifting and/or lowering, pushing and/or pulling, and using hands to finger, handle, feel, and/or finely manipulate objects.
  • Occasional lifting/moving and/or pushing/pulling up to 50 lbs.
  • Close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
