Quality Inspector II

About the role

The Quality Inspector II is a critical part of the quality team, ensuring day-to-day safety, quality, and plant goals are met. This role involves inspecting molded components, sub-assemblies, finished assemblies, packaging, and labeling, as well as training, monitoring, and coordinating the work of temporary labor and other operators.

Responsibilities

• Inspect molded components, sub-assemblies, finished assemblies, packaging, and labeling, including receiving, in-process, final inspections, and rework.
• Complete and interpret Statistical Process Control (SPC) charts and histograms, both manually and using computer-aided methods.
• Inform production personnel of non-conforming material and aid in investigating causes, material containment, corrective action, and follow-up on effectiveness.
• Prepare logs, reports, and documentation of QC processes; assist with cross-training others.
• Train, monitor, and coordinate the work of temporary labor and other operators.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• 1+ years of experience in a high-volume production environment.
• 3+ years of manufacturing experience.
• Ability to read and interpret quality specifications and inspection/control plans.
• Ability to lead and train others.
• Effective communication skills and a positive attitude.
• Basic computer knowledge (MS Office, PeopleSoft/MRP Systems, database entry, etc.).
• Flexibility in a dynamic work environment.

Desired Qualifications

• Bilingual in English and Spanish.
• Good understanding of handheld measurement tools usage.
