About the Role

Tests and inspects products at various stages of the production process and compiles and evaluates statistical data to determine and maintain quality and reliability of products.

Responsibilities

• Reviews Integra to ensure the job matches customer specifications.
• Reviews submittal drawing(s) to ensure the product is laid out according to the drawing.
• Reviews the legend to ensure the correct model and voltage of compressors are documented, and the circuit order and valve sizes are correct.
• Checks piping on racks and/or house assemblies according to work instructions for inspecting circuit piping.
• Records major findings from piping inspections on the Quality Assurance Inspection Form.
• Performs leak checking and vacuum testing for parallel assembly units according to the Trace Gas Leak Testing Procedure and the Vacuum Dehydration Procedure.
• Verifies if vacuum testing by manufacturing areas meets production standards.
• Interprets electrical/mechanical engineering drawings and schematic diagrams, conferring with management or engineering staff to determine quality and reliability standards.
• Evaluates data and writes reports to validate or indicate deviations from existing standards.
• Recommends modifications of existing quality or production standards to achieve optimum quality within equipment capability limits.
• Sets up and performs destructive and nondestructive tests on materials, parts, or products to measure performance, life, or material characteristics.
• Prepares graphs or charts of data or enters data into a computer for analysis.
• Uploads job-specific data, photos, and results into Integra and retrieves data and records when required for review.
• Performs quality transactions.
• Conducts a final walk of any unit assemblies to ensure all major findings have been corrected according to the Final Walk Instruction.

Requirements

• High school diploma or general education degree (GED).
• Electrical and/or Mechanical background.
• Understanding of the flow and occurrences of an Electrical Power Generation and Distribution System.

• General understanding of structural, ventilation, and electrical power and control concepts.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office.
