About the role

The Quality Inspector (Avery Creek) - 1st Shift position is available within Eaton’s ES AMER ARS PDCAD division. The hourly wage for this role is $23 per hour, with core hours set at 5am-3:30pm. Responsibilities

  • Perform final and in-process quality inspections to support manufacturing operations and ensure product compliance with specifications.
  • Engage in containment activities for quality issues, including sorting, final inspection, in-process inspection, and process verification.
  • Drive corrective and preventive actions to address identified quality issues and prevent recurrence.
  • Support Quality Engineering initiatives to enhance product quality metrics such as CONC, Warranty PPM, Final Yield, Rolled Throughput Yield, and Supplier PPM.
  • Collaborate with front-end engineering teams to resolve quality defects and address complex product specifications.

Qualifications

  • Required (Basic): 2-year Associate’s degree or 1 year of manufacturing experience.
  • Preferred: Previous experience with AS400.
  • Computer skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office, email, internet, and other relevant software.
  • Working knowledge of multiple product lines or work centers within a product line.
  • Knowledge of industrial electrical assemblies and applications.
  • Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
  • Safe work habits and ability to work effectively without direct supervision.
  • Ability to work overtime and be on-call as required.

Position Criteria

  • Able to lift up to 30 pounds.
  • Proficient in computer skills including Microsoft Office, email, internet, and other relevant software.
  • Experience with multiple product lines or work centers within a product line.
  • Working knowledge of ENOVIA/Plant Order Manager.
  • Understanding of engineering drawings and job packets.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and effective communication abilities.
  • History of safe work habits.
  • Ability to work effectively without direct supervision.
  • Ability to work overtime and be on-call as required.
