Quality Inspector - Aerospace & Defense Industry!
About the Role
C/A Design, Inc. is seeking a talented Quality Inspector to join the team. The Quality Control Inspector will perform all aspects of inspection on complex aluminum parts and final assemblies for the Aerospace and Defense industries. This is a critical role within the quality team, requiring a detail-oriented mindset. The role reports directly to the Quality Supervisor.
Responsibilities
- Strive towards a culture of proactive safety.
- Mechanical inspection of CNC machined and brazed components.
- Operate CMM for in-process and final inspections (experience is a plus, but training will be provided as needed).
- Final inspection and visual inspection of finished components and assemblies.
- Practical understanding and application of GD&T.
- Completion of inspection documentation.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED).
- Previous machine shop quality experience is a plus.
- Demonstrated ability to read and understand drawings/blueprints.
- Basic understanding of GD&T required.
- Demonstrated ability to use basic mechanical inspection tools: calipers, micrometer, pin/plug/thread gauge, height stand, indicator.
- Familiar with Microsoft Office.
- Strong verbal communication skills.
