Quality Inspector - 8PM - 8AM (3-2-2-3 schedule) Entry Level

About the role

This is a 12-month contract position on W2 for US Citizens or Green Card holders only. The role is located in Sumter, SC, and operates on a 3rd shift schedule (8PM - 8AM) with a 3-2-2-3 rotation.

Responsibilities

• Performs visual, dimensional, and functional inspections on a wide variety of medical device products in accordance with internal procedures and product specifications.
• Reports non-conformances to the supervisor and discusses corrective actions, including follow-up to ensure effectiveness.
• Determines product acceptability or rejection, initiates rejection notices, and maintains accurate written records of inspections and results.
• Recognizes conditions outside specific inspection areas that require action and escalates them to the supervisor.
• Monitors compliance with Good Manufacturing Practices (G.M.P.) in employee working areas and reports infractions for corrective action.
• Evaluates both product and process, making decisions on subjective visual inspections that impact product quality, productivity, and costs (e.g., rework, scrap, warranty).

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• One to two (1-2) years of related Quality Control experience or equivalent.
• Six (6) months of related experience in a manufacturing environment preferred.
• Must have 20/30 vision with or without corrective lenses and pass a color vision exam (contingent upon hire).
• Ability to withstand repetitive motion and lift up to 50 lbs.
• Must be able to read and comprehend English.
• Demonstrated human relations and communication skills.

Pay

$20–$25 per hour for 40 hours per week.

Schedule

3rd shift: 8PM – 8AM on a 3-2-2-3 rotation.
