Quality Inspector ($80K-$95K, Heavy Manuf Exp Req, 2nd Shift Rotation)
About the role
Our client in the manufacturing industry is seeking Quality Inspectors to add to their team in Canonsburg, Pennsylvania. Positions are available on both 1st and 2nd shifts. In this role, you will conduct in-process and final inspections across multiple stages of the manufacturing process while monitoring quality gates, verifying documentation, and partnering with production and engineering to resolve issues quickly.

Responsibilities
- Ensure all components, subassemblies, and final assemblies meet quality requirements
- Allocate time ~60% on the floor and ~40% on documentation, verification, and follow-up
- Inspect incoming parts, in-process builds, and finished transformers to drawings/specs
- Monitor quality gates across multiple stages of the manufacturing process
- Interpret engineering drawings, wiring diagrams, blueprints, and technical specifications
- Perform electrical and mechanical inspections, including dimensional and torque checks
- Verify quality control sheets are complete and required records are retained
- Review the nonconformance log and track corrective and preventive actions
- Document inspection results with clear, accurate, and traceable entries
- Escalate nonconformances and partner with production and engineering to resolve issues
- Ensure compliance with ISO 9001, customer specifications, and internal procedures
- Participate in root cause analysis, problem-solving, and continuous improvement efforts
- Calibrate, maintain, and properly use gauges, meters, and inspection/test equipment
Qualifications
- 3+ years of quality experience in heavy manufacturing is required
- Working knowledge of ISO 9000 quality systems is required
- Ability to read and interpret drawings, blueprints, and electrical schematics is required
- Ability to work 100% on-site is required

Pay and Schedule
The position offers a salary of $80,000 - $95,000 + annual bonus potential. The schedule is full-time, Monday - Friday, with 1st and 2nd shift rotation or 100% 2nd shift available. The 1st shift has a flexible start time between 6:30am-9:00am and end time 3:00pm-5:30pm, while the 2nd shift has a flexible start time between 1:00pm-3:30pm and end time 9:30pm-12:00am, with an 8.5-hour shift and 30-minute lunch.
