About the role

The Manufacturing Quality Inspector supports quality assurance and manufacturing processes to ensure aerospace components meet stringent regulatory, customer, and engineering requirements. This role is critical in inspection, validation, documentation, and continuous improvement activities to maintain compliance with AS9100 standards and customer specifications. TE Connectivity's Quality Control and Reliability Teams ensure product and/or product components comply with specifications and quality standards by testing and inspecting products against performance and integrity criteria.

This is a 3rd shift role with a schedule of Monday through Friday, 8:30pm to 6:00am.

Responsibilities

  • Inspect, test, and evaluate electrical components, coils, raw materials, purchased or fabricated parts, assemblies, spare parts, and completed units.
  • Analyze assembly problems, perform audits of product and processes in any area of manufacturing. In case of discrepancies, may stop production but must inform supervisor immediately.
  • Execute necessary paperwork pertaining to the job such as inspection reports, audits, ATP’s, FAI’s, etc.
  • Record dimensions and electrical parameters for various products and reports.
  • Successfully complete on-the-job training on applicable operating and process procedures per OP-1706.
  • Receive and check purchased materials, supplies, and manufactured items.
  • Read blueprints and utilize a wide variety of measurement instruments to check parts for compliance to quality specifications.
  • Operate ESS equipment when required.
  • Operate in a team environment with work sharing, team problem solving, and team acceptance of responsibility.
  • Train other employees as needed.
  • Perform final inspection: detail inspect and test end items for electrical and mechanical requirements to Hartman and/or customer drawings and specifications.
  • Prepare necessary paperwork for shipments and deliveries and maintain schedules for same.
  • Investigate claims for damage and other problems.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • Ability to obtain Soldering certification.
  • Willingness to learn.
  • Attention to detail.

Pay

Competitive base salary: $44,500 – $55,600 (subject to change dependent on physical location).
