Quality Inspector -3rd shift

Responsibilities
- Perform comprehensive product inspections based on criteria defined in work instructions, checklists, and drawings.
- Prioritize tasks as established by the Operations Supervisors to maintain efficiency and meet departmental deliverable goals.
- Identify non-conforming products that do not meet predefined requirements.
- Initiate Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs) in response to discoveries of non-conforming products.
- Ensure there are no active NCRs before completing a product inspection to maintain strict quality control and compliance.
- Apply precision and non-precision gauges, meters, tools, or devices to determine conformance to the relevant acceptance criteria.
Requirements
- High school diploma or G.E.D.
- 1 year experience in the quality process and experience with Quality Management Systems preferred.
- 1 year experience using precision metal fabrication measurement tools and techniques preferred.
- Ability to use precision measuring equipment (e.g., Calipers, micrometer, paint mil gauges, hardness tester, CMM, measuring tables, optical comparators, functional testers, etc.).
- Ability to effectively organize, plan workload, and work in a self-directed manner.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to interface with people across multiple functional areas within the company.
- Ability to interpret and apply Quality System / ISO procedures and documentation.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
- Skills to quickly learn and operate a wide variety of test and measurement equipment.
- Attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to apply appropriate math and geometry.
- Proficiency in using personal computers including Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, etc.).
Schedule
3rd shift: Monday-Friday, 10:45 PM – 7:15 AM (includes shift differential).
Pay
Compensation Range: $17.20 - $31.90 per hour. Depending on the position offered, employee may be eligible for other forms of compensation, such as annual incentives.
