Quality Inspector - 2nd Shift

About the role

Maintains and coordinates quality control program designed to ensure continuous production of products consistent with established standards.

Responsibilities

• Product gauging and inspection, and make decisions regarding product quality
• SPC data collection and evaluation
• Execute the nonconforming product system and coordinate rework
• Process rework paperwork
• Perform inventory transactions in SAP
• Maintain inventory of hold area
• Any other tasks as necessary
• Required to be able to work overtime as needed

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent education
• Knowledge of Bosch Automotive parts
• Skilled and knowledgeable with personal computer software such as Microsoft Windows, Microsoft Office, SPC software, or appropriate company sponsored software
• Strong organizational skills, problem solving, & time management skills
• Self-motivated with ability to work as an individual and in a team environment

Required skills

• Ability to read, analyze, and interpret professional journals and technical procedures
• Ability to write reports and procedure manuals
• Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from shiftleaders, managers and customers
• Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference
• Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations
• Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form
• Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations

• Frequently required to stand and talk or hear
• Occasionally required to walk, sit, and reach with hands and arms
• Must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds
