Position Summary

As a Quality Receiving Inspector 2 at Parker Meggitt, you play a crucial role in ensuring the quality and reliability of components, parts, and products through meticulous inspections and adherence to quality assurance instructions.

Responsibilities

  • Conducts examinations and quality control inspections on products, materials, and components at various stages of the production process to ensure compliance with established quality and reliability standards.
  • Participates in analysis of statistical data from processes to either confirm compliance with established standards or identify deviations from standards.
  • Performs routine visual inspection of soldered connections, mechanical inspections of electronic and electro-mechanical assemblies and subassemblies.
  • Prepares and completes all necessary documentation for reporting acceptance/rejection of inspected and/or tested items.
  • Implements and maintains technical quality assurance procedures.
  • Identifies design, process or other inefficiencies and reports quality concerns and issues.
  • Conducts internal audits and corrective action follow-ups.
  • Inspects wires, sensors such as force sensors, pressure sensors, etc. using ring gauges, calipers, torque ranges, micrometers, and other tools.
  • Performs routine quality inspections on engineering designs, assemblies, piece parts, final assemblies and tooling.
  • Regular, consistent and punctual attendance is required. Other responsibilities as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Ability to follow detailed job instructions.
  • Able to apply a systematic Quality Assurance approach while using existing procedures to solve standard problems.
  • Skilled at measuring and using test equipment as prescribed by job assignment.
  • Capable of identifying and independently resolving routine issues.
  • Experience with blueprints, drawings and parts lists.
  • Familiar with the casting, forging, molding, stainless-steel and electronic components used in the Aerospace industry.
  • Knowledge of ISO 9001 standards, as well as Aero Space Standards like AS9100 used on aviation, space and defense organizations.
  • Experience with all types of inspection tools like: Gauges, calipers, height gages, pin and block gages, V-blocks surface inspection tables, micrometers, and comparators.
  • Experience in performing internal audits based on established criteria and records the results.
  • Experience with interpreting engineering drawings using the language of Geometrical.
  • Proficient computer skills in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Power Point).
  • Effective oral and written communication skills.

Education & Experience

  • Education: High School Diploma/Equivalent and work experience that will allow successful performance of job expectations.
  • Years Experience: 2-5 years of relevant experience.

Competitive Compensation

The pay range for this position is $21.2/hr to $35.35/hr. Participation in an Annual Incentive Program is also available. Benefits and retirement plans offered include comprehensive coverage for medical, prescription drugs, dental, vision, voluntary optional life, accident insurance, hospital indemnity insurance and critical illness insurance with competitive premium costs. The 401(k) Plan offers company matching contributions at 100% of the first 5% of pay. Additionally, there is a defined-contribution retirement plan with an annual contribution equal to 3% of pay.
