Quality Inspector (1st Shift)

1st Shift: Monday–Friday, 7:00 AM–3:30 PM

About the Role

• Final inspection of finished aerospace engine parts and components
• Measure various features and holes on parts or components to determine acceptability per customer requirements
• Perform visual and dimensional inspections using required gaging and measuring equipment
• Interpret operation sheets and blueprints to meet customer criteria for acceptable parts
• Ensure all inspected parts meet acceptance criteria
• Complete required paperwork for defective parts or re-work

Requirements

• High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent (required)
• 2+ years of inspection experience in an aerospace or general manufacturing environment (a plus)
• Experience performing dimensional and visual inspection in an aerospace environment
• Ability to read, analyze, and interpret technical documents, blueprints, repair manuals, and customer specifications
• Working knowledge of geometric tolerancing, gages, micrometers, borescopes, and other measuring tools
• Strong background in manufacturing and ability to multitask in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
• Proficiency in operating CMMs using PCDMIS and/or MODUS software (highly desirable)
• Experience performing incoming, in-process, or final inspections in a turbine engine repair environment (highly desirable)
