Location: El Paso, TX – 12-month contract, 40 hours per week, 1st shift (8:30 AM – 5:00 PM).
About the role
Responsible for the efficient and effective performance of testing in conformance with regulations and standards. Duties include inspection, analysis of results, determining final disposition of some product, and detecting nonconforming conditions. Works within clearly defined SOPs and/or scientific methods, adheres to quality guidelines, and complies with regulations and standards.
Responsibilities
- Perform inspections and analyze results to ensure compliance with regulations and standards.
- Determine final disposition of product and identify nonconforming conditions.
- Interpret drawings and geometric dimensions and tolerances accurately.
- Use standard measuring equipment, including calipers, RAM optic, micrometers, pin gauges, and gage blocks.
- Participate in continuous improvement activities.
- Maintain calibrated equipment and follow equipment maintenance and repair procedures.
- Identify basic non-compliance within regulations and standards.
- Maintain appropriate licenses, training, or certifications as needed.
Requirements
- One to two years of relevant experience.
- Proven ability to interpret technical drawings and geometric dimensions and tolerances.
- Experience using standard measuring equipment (e.g., calipers, micrometers, pin gauges, gage blocks).
- Experience participating in continuous improvement activities.
- Understanding of calibrated equipment and maintenance procedures.
Pay
$20–$25 per hour.
