Quality Inspection 3 - 1st Shift

About the role

Collins Aerospace, an RTX company, seeks an experienced inspector to join our team. This role involves inspecting electrical activities and processes, performing detailed product inspections, and ensuring quality standards are met.

Responsibilities

• Work varying shifts and overtime as required
• Pass a color/vision test
• Inspect electrical activity and processes
• Perform detailed product inspections on in-process and finished goods, including First Article Inspections
• Document product characteristics accurately and with technical detail
• Initiate Quality Notifications for non-conforming products
• Apply quality assurance procedures and requirements to hardware inspections and document reviews
• Identify potential quality issues and communicate them to other Collins Aerospace personnel
• Maintain and utilize calibrated measuring instruments
• Safely perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications

• Typically requires HS diploma (or equivalent) or vocational/technical education in related discipline with 2 years of relevant experience
• Experience performing manufacturing or product inspections using blueprints and specifications
• Experience using precision measurement tools like micrometers and calipers
• Basic math skills including addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, fractions, and percentages
• The ability to utilize computer systems for data input and retrieval
• The ability to review documents and identify errors or missing information
• Ability to use operating software including SAP2+
