Quality Improvement Mgr

About the role

As Quality Improvement Manager for Easterseals New York Rochester, you will work closely with management to identify areas of improvement, create and implement quality improvement programs, develop standard operating procedures and facility policies, and conduct audits to monitor their effectiveness. This ensures compliance with regulatory requirements and maintains a culture of continuous improvement.

Responsibilities

• Develop strategies in partnership with management to identify potential deficiencies in operations.
• Make recommendations to improve quality of service delivery in our residential program for individuals with developmental disabilities.
• Investigate incidents affecting clients in our residential program for individuals with developmental disabilities.
• Provide initial and ongoing management training to department managers.
• Enter incidents in IRMA and WSIR for reporting to NY OPWDD.
• Maintain databases – DSS Family Net Web and ETO software.
• Prepare facilities for audits, ensuring all documentation supports and maintains accreditation.
• Work with the management team to develop strategies to reduce staff turnover.
• Generate monthly and annual data reports.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Human Services, Social Work, or a related field.
• Five (5) years of experience in program administration in a social service agency.
• At least 2 + years of experience in quality assurance, preferably in social services, public health, or workforce development.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong analytical and decision‑making skills with high attention to detail.
• Excellent investigative skills.
• Integrity and commitment to safeguard confidential information.
• Ability to work both independently and as part of a collaborative team.
• Proficiency with computer and software applications, including Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.

In Rochester, NY we operate The Kessler Center, an approved private special‑education (853) school offering both residential (CRP) and day placements for students with developmental disabilities. The Kessler Center provides an alternative educational path for school districts and serves students across the full range of developmental disabilities, including Autism Spectrum Disorders and behavioral challenges. We also operate a day‑hab program and provide respite care.
