Position Summary

The Quality & Food Safety Manager is responsible for leading all food safety, quality assurance, and regulatory compliance efforts at the manufacturing site. This role ensures products meet internal standards and customer expectations while maintaining compliance with federal regulations and industry frameworks.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead site-wide food safety and quality programs, ensuring compliance with FDA, USDA, FSMA, and GFSI standards.
  • Own and maintain HACCP/HARPC, GMP, and sanitation systems, including readiness for internal, customer, and third-party audits.
  • Oversee product quality performance, including testing, documentation accuracy, and corrective action implementation.
  • Manage customer complaints and investigations, driving resolution and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Partner cross-functionally with operations and leadership to enforce quality standards and improve plant performance.
  • Develop, train, and lead the quality team while supporting new product launches and process improvements.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent hands-on experience in food safety/quality leadership roles.
  • Proven experience managing food safety systems and regulatory compliance in a manufacturing environment.
  • HACCP certification required; PCQI and/or SQF (GFSI) experience strongly preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of FSMA, GMPs, and audit processes (internal, regulatory, and third-party).
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
  • An analytical mindset with the ability to solve problems and drive continuous improvement.
